About A Backwoods Farm
We are Gina and Eric, the keepers of A Backwoods Farm, located just outside Louisville, Nebraska—an easy drive from Omaha and Lincoln.
What began as a love for making things by hand has grown into a shared vision: offering one-of-a-kind experiences that invite people to slow down, create, and gather with intention. Together, we’ve opened our studio and wooded property to host hands-on pottery workshops and intimate long table dinners, each designed to feel personal, welcoming, and unhurried.
Most days, you’ll find Gina working with clay in the studio, hosting no-experience-required pottery workshops where guests can create while enjoying good food and wine in a relaxed, beautiful setting. Throughout the year, we also partner with local Omaha and Lincoln chefs to host seasonal long table dinners, served on handmade pottery and set beneath the trees or inside our cozy barn studio.
A Backwoods Farm is our way of sharing a slower rhythm of life with others, offering a creative escape in eastern Nebraska that feels both grounding and memorable.
Everything you find here is handmade by Gina, and every experience is thoughtfully curated by us. Our hope is that you leave feeling inspired, connected, and refreshed—carrying a little piece of the farm with you.
