A Backwoods Farm is moving!
There’s a big shift happening behind the scenes over here…
In Fall 2026, A Backwoods Farm will officially be moving and joining forces with Copper Dollar Ranch.
If you haven’t been out there yet, Copper Dollar Ranch is home to the beautiful stone barn built in 1883 (Venue 1883), located just outside Plattsmouth, Nebraska, where weddings, gatherings, live music nights, trivia nights, crafted cocktails, and unforgettable moments in the country are bringing people together in a truly special way.
Soon we’ll also be adding the Barrel Room, community fire pits , long table dinners, and even more experiences built around gathering people together in really meaningful ways.
And now… A Backwoods Farm Studio will be joining in on all of it too.
Don’t worry — we’re still keeping all the things you love most. The wine + appetizer + pottery workshop nights are absolutely coming with us. But we’re also adding some new things I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.
We’ll be opening up a membership pottery studio where members can come work independently and really make the space their own. We’ll also be adding wheel throwing classes, more handbuilding classes, and bringing in guest artists for workshops that go beyond pottery too.
I’m really excited to make this feel more like a creative gathering space instead of just a place you come once.
We’re also planning a small curated storefront inside the studio with handmade pottery pieces from A Backwoods Farm along with other fun little finds and goods I’ve collected along the way.
It’ll still feel like A Backwoods Farm… just with a little more room to dream bigger and create more experiences together.

The Barrel Room at Copper Dollar Ranch
This is one of the things we’re most excited about right now.
We’re creating a new space at Copper Dollar Ranch called The Barrel Room — a warm, intimate gathering space designed for long table dinners, special events, and evenings centered around really good food and connection.
We’ll be partnering with local chefs to create seasonal dinner experiences where guests can slow down, sit together, and enjoy thoughtfully prepared meals in a beautiful setting.
If you’ve been to one of our past dinners, you know they’ve never just been about the food.
They’re about lingering at the table longer than planned. Meeting people you didn’t know before the evening started. Sharing wine, stories, laughter, and those moments where you look around and think, this feels special.
One of my favorite parts is that every dinner is served on handmade pottery created right here at A Backwoods Farm. There’s something really meaningful about gathering around a table where every plate, bowl, and serving piece has its own story and was made by hand.
Past dinners have included candlelit tables, multiple chef-curated courses, wine paired with dinner, and evenings gathered around the fire afterward talking long after dessert was over.
The Barrel Room is going to allow us to create even more of those kinds of experiences — bringing together food, art, gathering, and community all in one place.
We have so many more ideas up our sleeve for this space so keep your eye out……
